Overview
Service/Maintenance/Trades Positions (Local 888) include custodial, maintenance, trades, dining, and other service positions. These may include electricians, grounds workers, maintenance mechanics, dining workers, and custodians, among others. Most 888 positions are part of AFSCME Local 888.

Posting Announcements
888 postings (“Orange Sheets”) are available at the University Human Resources (UHR) office or your shop steward can advise you of other nearby posting locations. These jobs are usually announced on Wednesday. The bid acceptance date will always appear on each posting.

How To Apply
To be considered as a candidate for a posted position, a bid form must be completed and submitted to the UHR office by 9:00 AM on the date indicated for each position of interest. List all related education and work experience which details how you meet the posted requirements. Other information may be submitted as well.
