Change In Status - Part-Time To Full-Time

PERS Optional Long Term Disability Plan (LTD)

 

If you are enrolled in the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS), as a full time employee in an Administrative/Professional/Supervisory position, you are eligible to join the optional LTD plan for administrators.  You have 30 days from your status change date to elect the coverage in order to receive guaranteed coverage.  You will receive information about this option within two weeks of your change in status. Please contact University Human Resources at 732-932-3020, ext. 4069 if you do not receive the information. 

 

Health Plans

 

As a full-time employee, you are eligible to participate in the State Health Benefits Program.  Please contact the person in your department who handles forms/payroll processing to schedule you for the New Employee Welcome & Benefits Orientation

 

Tuition Remission

 

Full-time employees are eligible for tuition remission.

 

Long Term Care

 

You are eligible for Long Term Care with the option of payroll deduction.  Please contact Prudential Long Term Care Customer Service Center at 1-800-732-0416 for information.

 

Paid Time Off

When a staff member's status changes from part-time to full-time, the Absence Reporting System will calculate (pro-rate for part-time) the monthly accrual on the new percentage rate for the remainder of the fiscal year, expressed as the full-time equivalent.
