In Grade/Range Salary Adjustments

In-grade/range adjustments provide increases to A/P/S employees who either transfer to a different position within the same salary range/grade or who assume a demonstrable increase in job duties and outcomes within the same position.

Requests for in-grade/range salary adjustments should be based upon one of the following:

To request an in-grade/range salary adjustment, please complete a Salary Adjustment Request Form detailing the rationale for the adjustment. A copy of this form, signed by the department head and the appropriate vice president/provost should be forwarded to University Human Resources. A copy of the request should also be retained in departmental files. In some cases, UHR may request a full review of the position to determine if the grade is still appropriate. In those cases, a complete job description would be requested.

In-grade/range salary adjustment requests will be reviewed and processed immediately if:
