Making An Offer - Administrative and Managerial, Professional, Supervisory, and Confidential Positions
Steps for Making an Offer
Verbally extend an offer to the selected candidate and prepare the offer letter, which includes salary information. An offer letter should only be completed for Administrative (URA-AFT) and for Managerial, Professional, Supervisory, and Confidential (MPSC) positions for external hires. Letters should not be completed for other aligned and T-coded positions. The offer letter may be considered a valid contract; therefore, modification should not be made to the language or content provided in the draft.
When the offer letter is returned with the candidate's signature, change the final status of the recommended applicant to “accepted” in the Applicant Tracking System.
Notify the unsuccessful candidates who were interviewed in writing.
