Creating A Tolerant Workplace - Staff Information

Employees ultimately drive a company’s success or failure. Because staff are the means by which the organization’s goals are carried out, their work becomes the lifeblood of an institution. As a result, employees are expected to maintain a positive work ethic, attitude, and demeanor for the betterment of themselves, their co-workers, the clients they serve, and their overall working environment.

Some Useful Guidelines:

• Respect changes in leadership and selected methods of performing tasks to meet department goals and objectives.
• Be open and flexible to learning new ways of performing various tasks, accepting it as an opportunity for growth.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude.
• Give management the benefit of the doubt, prior to taking an opposing side.
• Exercise sound judgment.
• Effectively and calmly communicate areas of concern.
• Accept constructive criticism.
• Possess a willingness to change.
• Be aware that your own behavior, either positive or negative, can have an impact on others in the workplace.
