Subject: Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Performance Evaluations for Eligible Managerial, Professional, Supervisory and Confidential (MPSC) Employees

Full-time and part-time Managerial, Professional, Supervisory, and Confidential (MPSC) staff members must receive a formal evaluation on an annual basis. The performance appraisal is a valuable tool which provides a mechanism for supervisors and employees to engage in a constructive discourse related to performance.

Appraisals are to be conducted in accordance with University Policy 60.4.9 - Performance Appraisal of Managerial, Professional, Supervisory, and Confidential (MPSC) Staff. MPSC employees must be appraised against the performance standards established during the previous evaluation cycle. The appraisal should take into consideration any modifications to the performance standards made and communicated to the employee within the performance evaluation cycle. Performance evaluations must be completed by April 30, 2011. Supervisors are required to notify employees of their appraisal rating by May 15, 2011 and provide employees the opportunity to comment in writing by June 1, 2011.
