Job Description |
Reports to the Dining Hall Manager. Supervises the service of meals, effective sanitation, set up, and upkeep of all dining hall service areas. Assigns and trains cooks, utility workers, and student employees to offer smooth, efficient, and courteous service. Under the direction of the Chefs, is responsible for the handling of left over food, advanced preparation, and the cleaning of the kitchen to include sanitizing of equipment. Performs and supervises custodial tasks including daily, periodic, and concentrated cleaning and sanitizing of all food preparation equipment, food service areas, storage areas, kitchen, floors, walls, furniture, and windows in accordance with university, county, state, and federal safety, cleanliness, and sanitation policies. Supervises the entrance and exit security activities and cash receipts. |

Job Requirements |
Requires a bachelor's degree in food service management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, and a minimum of two years of experience in a food service operation. Four years experience preferred. Experience should include supervision and food preparation in a high-volume dining facility. Also requires ServSafe Certification, or certification within one year from date of employment, good communication skills, and computer literacy in industry standard software. |
