Position is located at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension in Morris County; the Burlington County RCE office may also be a possible location. 

 Job Description

Reports to the Principal Investigator of the Operation: Military Kids (OMK) grant, County 4-H Agent, Department of 4-H Youth Development, Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Morris County. Is responsible for providing professional support to the Operation: Military Kids initiative. The target audience will be youth in grades K–13 (one year out of high school) whose parents are deployed. Is responsible for program development, implementation, and evaluation; community capacity building and leadership; and Rutgers Cooperative Extension/Department of 4-H Youth development responsibilities. 

 Job Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the areas of education, human/youth development, sociology, science, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus a minimum of two years related professional experience after bachelor's degree. Requires a valid New Jersey driver's license and the ability to successfully complete the Rutgers Defensive Driving Course. Requires experience or coursework in youth development programming, volunteer management, working with diverse audiences, and/or collaboration/coalition building; experience in managing people and evidence of effective human relations skills; experience in public speaking and written business-level communication; and demonstrated interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
