Facilitation Services - Resources For Directors And Managers
University Human Resources offers facilitation services to ensure your meetings, retreats, planning activities, and conferences are productive and efficient. A trained facilitator can help your group identify its goals and develop achievable objectives to meet them. There is no charge for these services.
Facilitation Services
Facilitation services may include:
- Retreat and extended training planning
- Strategic planning
- Consultation on staff development programming
- Enhancement of performance management systems
- Assistance in preplanning of meeting goals and activities
- Retreat design and facilitation
- Organizational assessment and improvement
- Strategies to manage knowledge in your department
University Human Resources staff work cooperatively to deliver the best service possible when facilitation services are needed. We draw upon the broad expertise of the department to develop custom programs that meet the unique needs of each department.
Our HR Consultants are available to assist departmental leadership with a wide variety of human resource issues. Each Rutgers-New Brunswick and Rutgers-Camden department or unit has an HR Consultant assigned who can provide consulting and employment services. HR Consultants understand departmental needs and objectives so they can recommend programs and practices that will support departmental requirements to align departments with the university's mission and goals.
Custom Training
UHR Professional Development Program staff can guide you through the creation of customized
training and development programs, planning initiatives, and/or meeting and retreat facilitation.
Facilitation services are also offered in specific areas:

- Facilitation and training - Employment Equity
- Facilitation and training - Faculty and Staff Assistance
- Educational programming - Sexual Assault and Victims Assistance

We request a minimum of 4 weeks advance notice for facilitation. Because we can only accommodate requests if our schedule permits, we encourage you to contact us early in your planning process.
