Custom Training
Programs and services coordinated through University Human Resources (UHR) can be individualized and delivered upon request to your unit, department, team, or group. Browse the course listings on this website to identify a program. If your professional development needs extend beyond the offerings listed, the UHR staff can develop a program to meet your specific requirements. We can help you assess your organization’s strengths and challenges in order to create training interventions to meet your unit’s goals. Customized programs can be delivered to any work unit at any location with suitable training facilities.
It is our desire to build a long-term relationship with your department, designing custom programs that build upon your organization’s knowledge base. We will work with you to:
- Build leadership at every level of your organization
- Create a true sense of team
- Create a respectful workplace
- Enhance performance management systems
- Create a service culture in your unit
- Enhance written and verbal communication from and among staff
- Encourage and support creativity
We request a minimum of 4 weeks advance notice on any customized training. However, we can only accommodate requests if the training schedule permits. Therefore, we encourage you to contact us early in your planning process.
There is no charge for custom training services. To request custom training, email us at ProfDev@hr.rutgers.edu, or complete a Consultation Worksheet and fax it to 732-932-0046.
