Rutgers Vice President for Faculty & Staff Resources Vivian Fernández has been invited and will present at the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) 2015 Eastern Region Conference from Sunday, April 12, 2015 - Tuesday, April  14 , 2015 at the Mohegan Sun resort in Uncasville, CT. Her presentation, entitled "HR Transformation: Restructuring Services to Achieve Capacity to Excel" was selected from a competitive slate of presentation topics submitted by HR leaders within the region and around the nation. 

VP Fernández will speak about the efforts undertaken to transform UHR into a best practices example of higher education HR, including prioritizing data-driven decision-making  within the organization, establishing metrics which measure performance, rather than workload, and the successes and challenges in providing central HR services to a large, decentralized university. 

The CUPA-HR Eastern Region Conference is an annual opportunity for thought-leaders to gather and share best practices in higher ed human resources  In addition to presenting at the conference, VP Fernández will participate in programming to share ideas about how to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of HR within institutions of higher education.

VP Fernández's presentation, "HR Transformation: Restructuring Services to Achieve Capacity to Excel," will be held in the Brothertown/ Passamaquoddy room on Monday, April 13 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
