Professional development is a shared responsibility between Rutgers, the employee, and the supervisor. Increased knowledge and greater skills enable employees to perform more effectively in current and future positions, and increase workplace morale. Development of the Rutgers workforce is essential to the improvement and productivity of the university. The University Human Resources Professional Development Program offers employees practical approaches to managing their work and careers. We tailor programs to meet the unique needs of university departments and provide resources for managers and supervisors. We believe that through our collaborative training approaches, we can make a real difference at Rutgers.
