University Human Resources makes Coaching Services available to supervisors, area managers, and department heads. Coaching is an enhanced process that provides staff with ongoing, objective feedback to develop their interactions in the workplace. It is designed to build commitment to learning, promote personal flexibility, and fine tune communication and conflict resolution behaviors reducing misunderstanding or miscommunication in the workplace. Coaching is a two-way approach that offers constant communication and feedback from both parties. Coaching is based on the situational need of the client, which may include:
Assisting in the translation of standards and
expectations |
Reinforcing actions that support the organization's vision
or mission |
Counseling on employee performance and disciplinary issues |

feedback to employees |
Building on and crediting staff ideas |
Defining and setting up a method to track employees' activities
