The Learning and Professional Development unit in University Human Resources is committed to serving the needs of the Rutgers community, by offering a variety of professional development opportunities that foster continuous learning and align with the strategic goals of the university.

Individuals can select courses/workshops, extended learning, certificate programs, self study resources, coaching, and more. All course/workshop offerings combine structured experiences and small group discussions, and make use of additional online resources that complement and support course learning. Courses and workshops are available during normal work hours, and vary in length from two hours to several days.

All programs and services are offered at no cost to departments or individual employees. Employees may attend on work time with the approval of a supervisor or take accrued time off if courses/workshops are for personal development.

Programs are announced on a semi-annual basis. You can check our online calendar for upcoming programs. You can also view a list of current workshops offered, and register for a course online.

As Rutgers employees, UMDNJ legacy employees are most welcome to attend all classes. They should use their NetID to create an account by selecting register for a course, and then contact us directly at 848-932-3958 to get assistance in registering for workshops.
