Changes to the Tax$ave Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Fringe Benefits Management Company (FBMC), a division of WageWorks, the current administrator of the Tax$ave Unreimbursed Medical Spending Account and the Dependent Care Spending Account will be updating its computer system to provide Rutgers employees enrolled in the programs a variety of new, innovative, and enhanced services.

As part of the transition to the WageWorks system, all myFBMC Cards will be deactivated on August 31, 2012. On September 1, 2012 members will not be able to use their cards to pay for eligible health care expenses or access their online account until the transition is completed on September 18, 2012.  During the transition, there will be a ‘hold period’ where any claims received from September 1, 2012 to September 18, 2012 will be held until the transition to the new WageWorks system is complete.

FBMC will mail all participants a letter announcing these upcoming changes and important dates to remember. All participants will receive a new WageWorks® Health Care Card and have access to the new online account after September 18, 2012. Participants will also receive a QuickStart Guide to help them manage their new accounts and take advantage of their new account changes and enhancements.
