Implementation of Salary Increases for Aligned Employees

Dear Rutgers Colleagues:

We are pleased to announce the implementation schedule for the salary increases for aligned employee as detailed below. All increases indicated below are effective March 1, 2022 and will be reflected in the March 4, 2022 paycheck.

Employee Group of Negotiated Agreement Eligibility Criteria Increase Percentage
AFSCME Locals 888 and 1761
  • Only those employees with anniversary dates of 7/1 and 10/1 are eligible for a credited year of service
  • Employees are eligible for Senior Rate
  • Employees at Step 8 prior to 7/1/20 move to Step 9 and receive Sr. Rate increase if eligible

IAFF Local 5082 Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
URA-AFT Local 1766 Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
HPAE 5089 Staff Nurses (UB) Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 No step move; 1.25% increase
HPAE 5089 Rsearch Nurse Clinicians (UC) Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
HPAE 5089 Nurse Clinicians (UR)   Experience step move (if eligible) and 1.25% increase
HPAE 5089 Advanced Practice Nurses (US) Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
HPAE 5089 Per Diem Staff Nurses (XH) Must be in unit as of 3/1/22 2.25%
HPAE 5094 Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
CWA 1031 Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
TEAMSTERS Local 97 Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
OPEIU Local 153 Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
AAUP-AFT Faculty Must be in unit as of 7/1/21 2.25%
  • All UCHC employees do not receive a March increase.
  • All 100% granted funded, who have been processed, do not receive March increase.
