The 2026 Open Enrollment Period for the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) and NJ Tax$ave Program runs from October 1, 2025, to October 31, 2025. This is your opportunity to review and adjust your medical, prescription, dental, and pre-tax flexible spending account choices for the upcoming year. The deadline for making modifications is October 31, 2025, with changes becoming effective on January 1, 2026.
Medical and Dental Plans
The current Aetna and Horizon medical and dental plans will continue to be available for the 2026 plan year. While the plan offerings remain the same, rates may change. Finalized rates will be posted on the NJ Division of Pensions and Benefits (NJDPB) website once available.
How to View and Make Changes to Your Elections
To review or make changes to your medical, prescription, and dental plans, please use BenefitSolver, the State’s online Open Enrollment tool. You can log in or create an account through MyNewJersey. Should you have issues creating an account or logging in, please use the ‘Need Help” function on the Log In page. For assistance with the BenefitSolver tool, use the support feature within the application. Additional details are available on the NJ Division of Pensions and Benefits (NJDPB) website.
To enroll in or maintain a flexible spending account, please visit Horizon My Way. To learn more about these plans, you can also visit the Tax Savings Plansa section on the UHR website. Remember, your current FSA election will not automatically renew for 2026.
In-Person UHR Benefit fairs and Vendor Webinars
UHR will be hosting five (5) in-person Benefit Fairs beginning mid-October. The schedule of fairs may be found on the UHR Open Enrollment webpage. Please mark your calendars and stop by to meet your UHR team, vendor representatives, and take advantage of the opportunity to receive a flu vaccine! Additionally, the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) will host a 2026 SHBP Virtual Benefits Fair where you can visit vendor booths, access benefit resources, and register to attend informational webinars hosted by Horizon and Aetna.
