Service Excellence

The effectiveness of any department depends on the level of service it provides – both the quality of that service and the department’s relationships with its clients. The Office of Learning and Professional Development provides a range of services including consultation, workshops, and tools that support a culture of service excellence at Rutgers University. 

Team Development

Effectively accomplishing departmental goals requires maximizing the performance potential of every employee. Courses and individual coaching services are available to supervisors and managers who seek to build the capacity within their teams to meet ever-increasing goals and expectations.

Individual Development Plans (IDP)

Approximately 80% of learning takes place through select experiences on the job. An Individual Development Plan (IDP) is an excellent tool for enhancing the partnership between managers and staff, and can play a key role in maximizing individual employee strengths and identifying and addressing areas for development.
