Upload Your Vaccination Cards – Win a $500 Gift Certificate

To All Rutgers Faculty and Staff:

It is wonderful to see our faculty and staff on campus. I would like to offer a heartfelt thanks for all you have done to keep the university up and operating throughout the pandemic. I know that it has been stressful during these challenging times and I want you to know that your efforts, your commitment, and your flexibility are appreciated and valued.

As you know, we have mandated that all students enrolling for classes for the fall semester must be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Getting back into classrooms and enjoying a vibrant campus life depends on vaccinations and student response has been overwhelmingly positive.

With respect to faculty and staff, while our actions have been guided by the State, keeping the campus safe is a shared responsibility.

Like the State, we are strongly encouraging all our employees to be vaccinated and we are asking you to upload your vaccination cards [1] to the portal. Knowledge of the number of employees who are vaccinated will be the key to fully returning campus operations to “normal” and will allow us to appropriately ease restrictions as we continue to create a safe environment in accordance with public health guidelines.

I am happy to announce that all employees who upload, or have uploaded, their vaccination cards will be entered in a drawing for a $500 gift certificate [2] at Kite+Key, our on-campus computer and technology store. There will be 20 winners selected at the drawing that will be held on August 31, 2021.

Thank you again for all you do for Rutgers, and I do hope that you will upload your vaccination information to the portal.
