Tuition Remission
Faculty members below the rank of Associate Professor are entitled to full tuition remission. Faculty members at and above the rank of Associate Professor are entitled to 50% tuition remission.
Retirement
Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) members who transfer to Alternate Benefit Program (ABP) eligible positions will have 90 days to make an irrevocable decision to remain in PERS or join the ABP. Employees in this category will receive a PERS/ABP packet with instructions.
Paid Time Off
An individual whose status changes from staff to faculty must always take all allowable accrued vacation prior to the change to faculty status. No vacation can be carried over to the faculty appointment and no payments in lieu of vacation time not taken are permitted without prior approval of the appropriate university vice president or chancellor.
