Non-State Benefits for RBHS Positions

In addition to certain State-issued benefits, Rutgers employees assigned to RBHS positions also enjoy a number of non-State benefits that are provided by the University.  These non-State benefits include:

In partnership with Rutgers University, the KinderCare Learning Centers in Newark and Piscataway offer on-site or near-campus child care services for Rutgers employees.

Educational Assistance Program

Rutgers employees assigned to RBHS positions may be eligible for tuition reimbursement, under the provisions of the Tuition Assistance Program Policy for RBHS positions.

Employee Assistance Program

This program is designed to help employees and their family members find balance between work and life responsibilities, through comprehensive counseling and referral services, and assistance for those experiencing stress, job problems, emotional or family difficulties and more.

Paid Time Off

Information on the different types of paid time off provided to eligible employees in RBHS positions.

Staff Leave Donation Program

This voluntary leave donation program allows employees to donate accrued paid time off to co-workers experiencing significant life events.

Vision Care Reimbursement Plan

Employees in Rutgers positions may be eligible to receive a reimbursement for prescription lenses.

Workplace Banking

Rutgers has partnered with several banks to offer employees discounted banking services.

Benefits Assistance Program (BAP)

The University's Benefits Assistance Program (BAP) for employees in legacy UMDNJ positions is intended to supplement the existing ABP retirement benefits through an after-tax annuity option.  Enrollment into this program ended on December 31, 2017. Employees who would have been eligible for this program are now eligible for the ABP Plan & Trust program.
